Gaga Channels Daphne Guinness, Zoolander For New Fame Video

UPDATE: Looks like Gaga got tired of a bunch of Lilliputians crawling all over her, so she put on a leather bodysuit for the newest campaign image. What do you think of this super-shiny double image, not to mention those inflatable boots? Are you slowly-but-surely being cajoled into shelling out for her blood-and-semen fragrance? Contemplate the image, watch the Steven Klein-directed videos, check back with your wallet and let us know.
Lady Gaga doesn't just slap her name on a bottle and call it a perfume. No, for the Mother Monster, a scent is an all encompassing experience, a process, a sensual adventure. Or, an excuse to film a bunch of hot dudes without shirts or channel Daphne Guinness (whose clothes Gaga bought have apparently arrived).

The show and spectacle that Gaga has planned for her first fragrance Fame is incredibly impressive, from a full performative commercial to an entire laboratory backstory. No, this isn't just an excuse to take Vaseline-lensed photos — it's a fully realized project. See below for the backstory behind the "first ever Eau de Parfum," which is, like Gaga, mostly fictional.
For the second video, an actual commercial for a dreamy, Tarsem Singh-influenced Gaga, the singer poses and vamps in a black-and-white, very Gaga, very Zoolander ad. However, the dramatic, sculptural dresses paired with an angular pile of hair reminds us of another boundary pusher — the very one she purchased all that Christian Lacroix from in June. Wonder what Daphne thinks?
