Engaged and struggling to find a wedding site that makes sense for you? Local tech lady Brit Morin is looking to change that with the launch of her first app, Weduary.
The free app was inspired by the former Google gal's own lackluster digital experience while planning her marriage to Path CEO Dave Morin a year ago. The tech-savvy duo ultimately decided to build their own web site, employing the Facebook API to make their impending nuptials a social experience.
Single guests could "flirt" with other non-attached folks, friends of the couple could spy on other invitees and connect with them based on similar interests and mutual friends, and all guests could update their personal profiles to reflect their wedding travel plans, should anyone want to coordinate.

In essence, the just-launched Weduary app includes all of the above, plus a few additional bells and whistles. Couples can register their domain name, choose from 10 website design options (or pay $15-$20 for premium packages), import their best lovey dovey photos directly from Facebook, and invite friends through the social network or via email.
Like what you see? Don't expect Mrs. Morin to stop at this app. The engineer has just raised $1.24 million from the likes of Googler Marissa Mayer and other female power players in Silicon Valley to create innovative apps in other categories like style and food. So this definitely isn't the last you'll be seeing of her.
